HI FRIENDS! ✨ so many new faces around here so I wanted to re introduce myself 👋

my name is Alyssa, or Lyss, and I am a 30-something-year-old Scorpio and Chief Goober of Choucre 🩷 By day, I am a civil rights paralegal, and by night I am pouring silly brightly colored candles in my office (which is painted pink, btw).

I have been making candles since early 2020, and I actually started testing and planning for Choucre in 2021! And officially launched in 2023 - we are almost a year old!

I am Austin born and raised here in the 90s and 00s, and that’s where most of my inspiration comes from - so my candles draw from childhood memories, being a nerdy gamer who was raised on magical girl anime, and food because food is the best. The world is so intense, and I want to combat the existential dread one candle at a time.
